At daybreak this morning we have cloudy skies with some light flurries falling, temperatures range from around 30 degrees in the Clifton area to the upper 20s further inland, we received a coating of snow since yesterday.

Today the storm that has been affecting our weather the last few days is still sitting stationary over New England, we will continue to have occasional snow showers during the day today, another coating of snow is possible especially further inland.

Finally the storm will move away and we should have clearing on Friday with seasonably cool temperatures.

A nice weekend is in store for us with dry conditions and highs in the 40s.

Dry weather and seasonably mild conditions are likely into early next week with the next chance of precipitation will be around Tuesday night or Wednesday.

We have mostly cloudy conditions early this morning and temperatures range from the upper 30s in the Clifton area to the low 30s further inland, winds are from the northwest around 10 mph.

The nor’easter has moved off the New England coast but the upper level low associated with this low will be affecting our weather the next couple of days.

Today we will have mostly cloudy skies with some rain showers in the area that should change to snow showers this afternoon and this evening, temperatures will slowly fall from the upper 30s that we have now to the low 30s this afternoon, some areas may see a coating of snow.

Considerable cloudiness with cool temperatures will persist Thursday and Friday with still a chance of rain or snow showers.

The weekend looks quite nice for mid-December with plenty of sunshine and high temperatures in the 40s.

Seasonably mild and dry conditions early next week.

Rain has moved into the Clifton area and temperatures have risen to just above freezing, some freezing rain is being reported in the colder areas of Northwest New Jersey, the Poconos and the Hudson Valley.

Today we will have rain possibly heavy at times along with windy conditions, temperatures inland should rise above freezing later this morning. The heaviest rain should fall between now and the middle of the afternoon before tapering off to showers, expect around two inches of rainfall.  Winds will gust to above 30 mph.

Tonight we will have rain showers in the Clifton area but inland it may change to snow with some light accumulations possible.

Rain and snow showers will persist into Thursday with some accumulations again possible further inland.

Finally some clearing on Friday and the weekend looks dry with seasonably cool temperatures.

It is mostly clear early this morning and it is cold with the temperatures ranging from around 20 in the Clifton area to the teens further inland, winds are northerly around 10 mph.

Today we will see increasing cloudiness with continued cold temperatures with readings in the 30s.

Low pressure will develop off the Carolina coast tonight and become a rather strong nor’easter with heavy rain and strong winds.  The rain will begin after midnight tonight and continue heavy at times through the evening, 1-3 inches of rainfall is expected.  Further inland the precipitation will start off as a mix late tonight but change to rain in most area during the day Tuesday before changing to snow Tuesday night and continuing on Wednesday.  The heaviest accumulations should be across the Poconos where a winter storm warning is in effect, across higher elevations of Morris, Sussex, Warren and Western Passaic county expect about 1-3 inches of snow.

Light rain showers should persist into Wednesday with snow showers inland.

Still a chance of snow or rain showers on Thursday.

Finally we should see some clearing by Friday and this upcoming weekend looks dry with seasonably cool temperatures.

Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early this morning and temperatures range from the mid 30s in the Clifton area to around 30 further inland, winds are gusty out of the north to 25 mph.

Today we will have clearing and it will be quite windy with wind gusts to 32 mph, temperatures will be cool.

After a mostly clear and chilly night we will then see increasing cloudiness on Monday with a chance of rain mixed with snow at night, no accumulation is expected except for the far inland areas where there may be an inch or two of snow and sleet.

On Tuesday the nor’easter will be moving off the coast, temperatures will be mild so no snow is expected during the day but heavy rain will occur all day along with strong winds, there may be minor to moderate coastal flooding.   Two to three inches of rainfall is expected.

The precipitation may mix with or change to snow Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, question remains of who will get snow accumulations and to what extent, at this time it appears that only extreme higher elevations of northwest New Jersey and the Poconos will have the best chance of a heavy wet snow.

The storm although weakening will still be affecting our weather with rain and snow showers from Wednesday afternoon into Thursday.

Finally clearing with seasonably cool temperatures Friday and Saturday.
