Milder with rain showers today into Friday morning; Colder over the weekend!


We have mostly cloudy skies at 6 a.m. on this Thursday morning and temperatures are milder than the last few mornings ranging from around 40 degrees in Clifton to the mid 30s further inland, winds are light.

Today we will have mainly cloudy skies but there may be a few breaks especially this morning, there is a chance of showers this morning as a warm front moves through our area.  More widespread showers with even some isolated thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.  Temperatures will rise into the low 60s despite the clouds.  A cold front will pass through the area tonight, some lingering showers following the front ending Friday morning.

Friday we will have clearing in the afternoon, temperatures will be cooler but right around normal for late March.

Colder weather again for the weekend and we will have a chance of snow showers Saturday morning changing to rain showers in the afternoon, high temperature will only reach around 40 which is well below normal.

Sunday morning will be clear with temperatures falling to around 20 degrees, not as chilly in the afternoon with the strong March sunshine.

Early next week looks mainly dry with near normal temperatures.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers this morning, showers and possibly a thunderstorm this afternoon, milder with highs in the low 60s.

TONIGHT – Cloudy with a chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm, low near 40.

FRIDAY – Chance of showers before 9 a.m. then partial clearing in the afternoon, high in the low 50s.

SATURDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of snow showers in the morning and rain showers in the afternoon, colder with highs only around 40.

SUNDAY – Sunny, high in the upper 40s.

MONDAY – Mostly cloudy, high in the low 50s.

TUESDAY – Partly sunny, high in the low 50s.

WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny, high in the mid 50s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  Small craft advisory will be in effect from 8 a.m. this morning till 6 p.m. on Friday.  Today – south-southwest wind gusting to 30 knots, seas 4-8 feet.

OUTLOOK – Advisories possibly continuing Friday night through Saturday night, no advisories expected during the day on Sunday but advisories again possible Sunday night into Monday.
