Summer like warmth and humidity today and Tuesday! Much cooler and drier on Wednesday!


Skies are mostly cloudy early this Monday morning and temperatures are quite mild mostly in the upper 60s in the Clifton area to the low 60s further inland, winds are nearly calm and the humidity is quite high.

Today we will have continued warm and humid conditions, the low clouds should burn off by noon, high temperatures will continue to be well above normal for this time of year.

A cold front will be crossing the area on Tuesday that may touch off a scattered shower or thunderstorm, it will be breezy by the afternoon, high temperatures once again will be well above normal but the humidity will drop by evening.

Much cooler and drier weather can be expected Wednesday through Friday as temperatures fall to around normal for the middle of May.

At this point the weekend looks  to be seasonably mild, there will be a chance of showers on Saturday with Sunday expected to be dry.

After early morning clouds and fog it will become mostly sunny and warm for this Mother’s Day!


Skies are cloudy with some dense fog in the area early this morning and temperatures are mild with most readings in the area are in the low 60s along with very high humidity and nearly calm winds.

Clouds and fog will persist till around 9 a.m. then we should have some sunshine for this Mother’s Day, temperatures will rise quickly into the 80s and we will have rather high humidity so it will feel uncomfortable.

More clouds and fog early Monday morning with even some drizzle, and like today the sun will break through in the mid morning and temperatures will be quite warm, there may be some light showers late at night.

Tuesday will be quite warm and humid again with early morning fog and clouds.

Finally a cold front will sweep through the area Tuesday night followed by much cooler weather from Wednesday through Friday, temperatures will fall to near normal along with much lower humidity.

Conditions are very dry with no measurable precipitation now for 18 days, the showers early this week should be quite light if they occur at all, so expect very little relief from the dry conditions this week.

A back door cold front has come through the area this morning and today we will have cooler temperatures with an onshore wind along with considerable cloudiness.

Some clouds and fog early on Mother’s Day which will give way to mostly sunny skies by late morning, temperatures will be quite warm with highs well up into the 80s.

Monday should stay mainly dry with warm temperatures continuing.

The next chance of well needed showers would be on Tuesday as a cold front moves through the area, it still will quite warm with highs approaching the 90 degree mark along with high humidity.

Cooler with much less humidity Wednesday through Friday, temperatures  will be close to normal for this time of year along with dry conditions.

Today will be a sunny and warm day with highs reaching the low 80s.

Some clouds and fog tonight into Saturday morning, then partial clearing during the day, temperatures will not be as warm as winds will be more onshore.

After some fog and even some drizzle early Sunday morning will be followed by partly sunny skies, winds will be coming more off the land so highs will again be in the 80s along with higher humidity.

Monday and Tuesday will continue to be quite warm and humid with a chance of well needed showers on both days as a cold front approaches from the west.

Skies are mostly clear this Thursday morning and temperatures range from the low 50s in the Clifton area to some low 40s in the colder inland areas, winds are mainly calm.

We only received some sprinkles in the area yesterday so now there has not been any measurable precipitation in more than two weeks, how many of your cars out there have dust and pollen all over them now?

Today we will have sunny skies and temperatures will reach about 10 degrees above normal topping out in the upper 70s. Tonight will not be as cool as this morning with lows mainly in the upper 50s.

Mostly fair and warm weather will continue Friday through the weekend.

Warm weather  into early next week with only a slight chance of  some showers.

Cooler with more seasonable temperatures are expected Wednesday.

It is a mild early morning with temperatures ranging from the mid 60s in the Clifton area to the upper 50s further inland, winds are light, there are some showers at the present time to our north and west that should move into our area shortly.

A weak cold front is in our area today that will cause considerable cloudiness and some showers, with limited sunshine temperatures will not be as warm as the last few days topping off to around the 70 degree mark.

High pressure will then take control of our weather from tomorrow through the weekend again giving our area unseasonably warm temperatures.

Still warm into early next week but some showers may accompany a cold front  Monday into Tuesday.

Today we will have increasing cloudiness but we should stay dry as a cold front approaches the area, temperatures will once again be quite warm with highs reaching the low 80s.

It appears now that the showers will hold off till early Wednesday morning as the front moves through.  During the day we will continue to have a chance of showers into the afternoon it will be much cooler with highs only reaching the upper 60s.

Warm and dry weather returns on Thursday and should last through the weekend with temperatures well above normal.

The next chance of showers will be on Monday as another front approaches the area.

We have clear skies and light winds once again this morning, temperatures are around 10 degrees higher than this time yesterday ranging from the low 50s here in Clifton to the mid 40s in the coolest outlying areas.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures with readings rising well up into the 80s.

A cold front will be approaching the area and passing through on Tuesday accompanied by some showers and thunderstorms, it still will be quite warm with highs once again in the 80s.

Mainly dry with above normal temperatures continuing through the weekend, it will be a little cooler on Wednesday but temperatures once again will climb into the 80s by Saturday.

Looking further ahead it appears that above normal temperatures will continue next week.

Skies are clear and the winds are calm early this morning and temperatures range from the low 40s in the Clifton area to some upper 30s in some of the colder suburbs.

Temperatures will rapidly rise after sunrise this morning as we will enjoy plenty of sunshine and readings well up into the 70s with some area reaching the 80 degree mark.

Even a little warmer on Monday as temperatures rise into the low 80s along with continued sunny skies.

The only chance of rain will be from Tuesday afternoon into very early Wednesday morning as a cold front crosses the area.

Not much cold air behind the front and we will continue to have warmer than normal temperatures along with dry conditions Wednesday through at least the beginning of next weekend.

APRIL 2015 CLIMATE REPORT –  April averaged slightly above normal in temperature,  rainfall was below normal with 3.61 inches falling with 3.14 inches of that amount falling in the 24 hour period on April 20-21st.  The highest temperature for the month was 82 degrees recorded on the 18th and the lowest was 29 degrees on the 1st.
