Warm and dry weather to end the 4th of July weekend!


Skies have cleared up early this Sunday morning and temperatures range from the low 60s in Clifton to the mid-upper 50s further inland, winds are light.

A weak area of high pressure will build into the area today providing us with plenty of sunshine, seasonably warm temperatures and rather low humidity, a real nice summer day to end the holiday weekend.

Monday will be warm and dry but with slowly increasing humidity.

A frontal system approaching the area on Tuesday and Wednesday will cause thunderstorms chances to increase along with higher temperatures and humidity, some of the showers may come down quite heavy.

Lingering showers on Thursday is still possible with slightly lower temperatures.

Dry and seasonably warm weather is expected Friday and Saturday.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – Sunny, high in the mid 80s.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low in the upper 60s.

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

TUESDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, some storms may be accompanied by heavy rain, high in the upper 80s.

WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.

THURSDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the low 80s.

FRIDAY – Partly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

SATURDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – South-southeast wind to 11 knots, seas 1 foot.  Water temperatures are in the upper 60s.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Monday through Thursday.
