Ideal weather for Thanksgiving and Black Friday! Cooler over the weekend with some light showers possible on Saturday!


Skies are mostly clear early on this Thanksgiving morning and there is a wide range of temperatures with readings in the mid 30s here in Clifton to some low 20s in the colder suburbs, winds are nearly calm.  The barometric pressure is now at 30.81″ which is the highest barometer reading here since January 2005.

Strong high pressure near Nova Scotia extends back to our area, expect a light southerly flow to develop which will help boost temperatures to near the 60 degree mark.  There will be more clouds around tonight with a slight chance of some drizzle.

Sunshine returns for Friday with even higher temperatures reaching the low 60s.

A cold front will be crossing the area on Saturday giving us a chance of some light showers in the afternoon and evening, temperatures will be cooler.

Seasonably cool and dry on Sunday.

Early next week will start off dry but a disturbance may produce some showers Tuesday and Wednesday, temperatures will average slightly above normal.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy, low in the low 40s.

FRIDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the low 60s.

SATURDAY – Cloudy with a chance of afternoon and evening showers, high in the mid 50s.

SUNDAY – Partly sunny, high near 50.

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

TUESDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the mid 50s.

WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the mid 50s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – South-southeast wind to 7 knots, seas 1-2 feet.

OUTLOOK – Advisories may be needed for high seas Friday and Saturday, no advisories expected for Sunday, advisories again possible for high seas on Monday.
