More clouds than sun and seasonably cool for the first day of 2016! Dry weather the next several days! Coldest air of the season early next week!


Skies are cloudy on the early New Year’s Day morning and temperatures are ranging from the upper 30s here in Clifton to the low 30s in the colder inland areas, winds are light westerly.

Today we will continue to have mostly cloudy skies with temperatures slightly above normal.  Winds will become breezy by this afternoon.

The weekend will be dry with finally more in the way of sunshine, temperatures will continue to average slightly above normal.

The coldest air of the season will move into the area Monday and Tuesday giving us our first below normal air since November, temperatures on Tuesday morning may fall into the low teens.

Dry weather will continue the rest of next week with a moderation of temperatures.

Computer models have been indicating a major storm to affect our area around Jan 12th.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – Mostly cloudy, high in the mid 40s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy, low in the upper 20s.

SATURDAY – Sunny, high in the low 40s.

SUNDAY – Sunny, high in the low 40s.

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 30s.

TUESDAY – Sunny, high in the low 30s.

WEDNESDAY – Sunny, high near 40.

THURSDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 40s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  Small craft advisory in effect from 3 p.m today till 5 p.m. on Saturday for northwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-5 feet.

OUTLOOK – Near advisory level winds Sunday through Tuesday.
