A mild leap day with some brief showers! Rain Tuesday night into Wednesday! Colder at the end of the week with a low chance of some snow!


Skies are mostly clear early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from the low 40s here in Clifton to around 30 in some of the colder inland valleys, winds are light.

Today we will see an increase in clouds as a weak cold front approaches the area, this front should produce some light showers for about an hour or two around noontime, temperatures will once again be mild with highs approaching the 60 degree mark.

March will come in like a lamb tomorrow with mostly sunny skies and slightly cooler temperatures, it will become cloudy at night.

The next storm will affect our area mainly Wednesday morning, rain should start just after midnight and end by the afternoon, it will be mild in the morning but become much cooler late in the day as a cold front associated with the storm moves offshore and colder air moves in.  Rainfall amounts should be less than an inch.

Quite chilly Thursday and Friday and there is a low chance of some light snow on Friday.

Should be mainly dry this upcoming weekend with near seasonable temperatures.

Long range indications show milder than normal weather next week.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – Becoming cloudy with showers likely around midday, high near 60.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low in the mid 30s.

TUESDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

WEDNESDAY – Rain mostly ending by 2 p.m. temperatures in the low 50s in the morning dropping to around 40 by sunset.

THURSDAY – Mostly sunny and cold, high in the upper 30s.

FRIDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of light snow, high in the upper 30s.

SATURDAY – Sunny, high in the low 40s.

SUNDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 40s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  Small craft advisory in effect till 10 p.m tonight for southwest winds becoming westerly gusting to 25 knots, seas 4-6 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected during the day on Tuesday.  Advisories likely Tuesday night into Thursday with possible advisories continuing on Friday.
