Nice weather today and a little cooler! Chance of showers on Friday! Warm and dry on Saturday with showers and thunderstorms on Sunday!


Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are a little cooler than the last few mornings ranging from around 60 here in Clifton to the low 50s further inland, winds are light.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine as high pressure builds from New England, it will be slightly cooler than on Wednesday especially along the coast.

A frontal system will give us a chance of showers on Friday, skies will be mainly cloudy and highs will be in the 70s.

Saturday still looks to be the best day of the weekend with partly sunny skies and warm temperatures.

A stronger frontal system will be in the area on Sunday giving us showers and thunderstorms, some of these storms may be quite strong.

An upper level low will be in our area Monday through Wednesday, it will be mainly dry but there is a chance of an afternoon shower on Tuesday, temperatures will be near or slightly above normal through the period.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 70s.

TONIGHT – Increasing cloudiness with a chance of showers before daybreak, low around 60.

FRIDAY – Cloudy with a chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm, high in the mid 70s.

SATURDAY – Partly sunny, high in the mid 80s, chance of showers late at night.

SUNDAY – Showers and thunderstorms, humid with highs in the upper 70s.

MONDAY – Partly sunny, high in the low 80s.

TUESDAY – Mostly sunny with a chance of an afternoon shower, high near 80.

WEDNESDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 70.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – East-northeast wind to 10 knots, seas 2 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Friday and Saturday with near advisory level conditions Sunday and Monday.
