It is quite warm across the area early on this Tuesday morning with temperatures ranging from the low 70s here in Clifton to the mid 60s further inland. There is an area of showers and thunderstorms over the Poconos moving into the northwest part of New Jersey.
The area of showers and thunderstorms will be weakening as it moves closer to the Clifton area but we still may have this shower activity move into the area this morning and then offshore. A cold front will cross the area this evening with another area of showers and thunderstorms developing but mostly affecting Central and Southern New Jersey. Some sunshine later this morning and this afternoon will cause temperatures reach the upper 80s.
The cold front will move offshore tonight and a weak high pressure will give us a nice day tomorrow with plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures and rather comfortable humidities.
A low pressure will move through the area on Thursday and will likely give us some rain with embedded thunderstorms, some of this rain may be heavy.
High pressure returns for Friday and will dominate our weather through the weekend giving us dry conditions and warm temperatures along with comfortable humidity levels.
