Skies are clear early on this Wednesday morning and it is quite warm with temperatures ranging from the low 70s here in Clifton to the low 60s further inland, winds are quite light.

Today will be quite hot and humid with highs reaching the mid 90s along with sunny skies.

The heat and humidity will continue on Thursday but there is a chance of some afternoon and evening thunderstorm activity.

On Friday a backdoor cold front may cool temperatures a bit especially to our north and there will be a better chance of showers and thunderstorms.

A stronger cold front will cross the area on Saturday with again a chance of some showers and thunderstorms.

High pressure will bring cooler weather Sunday through early next week with lower temperatures and humidity along with mostly sunny skies.

Sunshine today after morning showers! Heat and humidity for the rest of this week!


Skies are cloudy early this Tuesday morning and there are some showers around, temperatures range from the mid to upper 60s and it is quite muggy.  .64″ of rain has fallen since yesterday evening here in Clifton.

Low pressure that caused the rain is now moving offshore, showers will end and we should see some sunshine by later this morning, temperatures will rise to the upper 80s and with dew points in the 60s it will feel a little uncomfortable.

Typical heat and humidity will be with us from tomorrow into Saturday with highs in the 90s and with increasing humidity, dew points will be high especially Thursday and Friday and with the humidity there will be some scattered showers and thunderstorms.

A cold front will cross the area around Saturday afternoon with possible severe thunderstorms.

Not as hot and humid Sunday and Monday and we should remain dry.

At this time it looks like the heat and humidity will again build for the rest of next week.

A warm and mainly dry Independance Day! Showers developing late tonight! Quite warm to hot Wednesday through the weekend!


Skies have become mostly clear early on this Independence Day and temperatures range from the low 60s here in Clifton to the low 50s further inland, winds are nearly calm.

High pressure will be moving offshore today and will give us a warm day, some high clouds may filter the sun especially by this afternoon.  A low  pressure along a front to our south will cause showers mainly after midnight, the rain may become heavy at times along with some thunderstorms.

There is a chance of a morning shower on Tuesday morning followed by clearing skies and quite warm temperatures.

It appears that we will finally see some typical summer heat starting Wednesday and lasting through the weekend with highs close to 90 degrees each day, humidity will also be on the rise and with this humidity there will be chances of scattered showers and thunderstorms especially Thursday through Saturday.

Comfortably warm and dry weather to continue today! Mainly dry and warm for the 4th of July but some showers are likely late at night!


Skies are partly cloudy early on this Sunday morning but are mostly cloudy just to our south, temperatures are cool for this time of year ranging from the low 60s here in Clifton to around 50 further inland, winds are light and the humidity is low.

Today we will have another nice day with mostly sunny skies, seasonably warm temperatures and continued comfortable humidity as high pressure will be over the area.

Dry and warm weather will persist during the day tomorrow but a weak low pressure system will give us some showers late at night, at this time it appears that any shower activity will hold off until after 11 pm.

Showers are likely to persist into early Tuesday morning followed by mostly sunny day with quite warm temperatures.

A more typical summer pattern should be with us Wednesday through at least the beginning of next weekend with quite warm to hot air with increasing humidity, with a more humid airmass there will be a slight chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms especially Thursday and Friday.

Wonderful holiday weekend weather after yesterday’s storms!


Skies have become mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and temperatures have dropped to around 60 here in Clifton to the low 50s further inland, winds are light and the humidity is low.

Yesterday’s storms caused some wind damage along with hail, frequent lightning and heavy rain, around 1 1/4 inches of rain fell in Clifton.

Today will be a much quieter day as a cold front has moved offshore and high pressure builds in from the northwest, temperatures will be seasonably warm with plenty of sunshine, the humidity will be low and there will be a nice refreshing breeze.

Mostly sunny skies will continue on Sunday and temperatures may be a couple of degrees higher than today’s, the humidity will stay low.

We may have a bit more clouds on Independence Day as a weak front will be to our south, there will be a slight chance of showers at night but most areas will stay dry with continued low humidity.

Quite warm and increasingly humid air is expected for the end of next week with continued mainly dry conditions.

JUNE 2016 CLIMATE SUMMARY –  This June’s temperature averaged slightly above normal and precipitation was below normal with 3.04″ falling.  The high temperature was 90 degrees recorded on 11th and the 19th, the lowest was 49 on the 9th.
