Mainly dry weather with a slow increase in temperatures and humidity today and tomorrow! Hot and humid on Friday! A warm and dry weekend is likely!


Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are a little milder than this time yesterday ranging from the  low 60s here in Clifton to the mid 50s further inland, winds are nearly calm.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine as high pressure continue over the area, temperatures and humidity will be a bit higher than the last couple of days.

Tomorrow will be quite warm and more humid with more cloudiness as high pressure moves off the shore.

Friday will be a hot and humid day with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon as a weak cold front crosses the area.

High pressure will build into the area over the weekend giving us plenty of sunshine both days along with quite warm temperatures, humidity will be moderate.

Another weak cold front may cause some shower activity early next week, temperatures will continue to be warmer than average for late August.

FRIDAY – Partly sunny hot and humid with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 90s.

SATURDAY – Sunny, high in the upper 80s.

SUNDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 80s.

MONDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the upper 80s.

TUESDAY – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high again in the upper 80s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – Southerly winds to 9 knots, seas 1 foot.   Water temperatures are near 80 degrees.

OUTLOOK – Possible advisories Thursday into the day on Friday, no advisories expected Friday night through Sunday.
