We have partly cloudy skies early on this Sunday morning and temperatures range from the chilly mid 20s in the Clifton area to some teens in the colder inland suburbs, winds are mainly calm.

A low pressure will be moving to the Great Lakes today as a warm front approaches from the southwest, we should see some light snow developing this afternoon that may coat the ground by this evening.  We should have a short break in the snow this evening but snow should redevelop late tonight and continue into early Monday morning, as warmer air moves in we should see the snow mix with sleet and freezing rain before changing to all rain by 9 a.m., the rain will continue into the afternoon.  Accumulations will be 1-2 inches in the Clifton area to 3-5 inches further inland before the changeover.

Tuesday will be a dry and seasonably cool day.

A cold front on Wednesday looks to come through dry, this front will be followed by the coldest air of the season so far for Thursday and Friday, high temperatures both days will likely stay below freezing with lows well down into the teens and the single digits  across many inland areas.

Another low pressure system may give us some snow late Friday night into Saturday which will likely change to rain as warmer air moves into the area.

TONIGHT – Snow late tonight, mixing with sleet and freezing rain then to all rain by daybreak, low in the mid 30s, accumulations 1-2 inches.

MONDAY – Rain mainly ending by noon, high in the upper 40s.

TUESDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 40s.

WEDNESDAY- Mostly cloudy, high near 40.

THURSDAY – Mostly sunny, windy and much colder, high only in the upper 20s.

FRIDAY – Mostly sunny and cold, high again in the upper 20s., chance of snow at night.

SATURDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow changing to rain, high in the upper 30s.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and we have the coldest readings of the season so far with temperatures ranging from the mid 20s here in Clifton to some mid teen further inland, winds are mostly light.

High pressure will give us mainly dry conditions today but we should see some increase of clouds this afternoon along with some possible flurries falling from late this afternoon into this evening, temperatures will only be in the 30s but the winds will be lower than what we experienced on Friday.

After a cold and clear night we should see clouds increase again on Sunday as low pressure moves to the Great Lakes and a warm front approaches from the south, snow should develop by evening and continue into early Monday, the precipitation should mix with sleet and freezing rain before changing to all rain as the warm front moves to our north, accumulations of 1-3 inches is expected with up to 4-6 inches further inland.  The rain should end in the afternoon.

Tuesday will be a dry and seasonably cool day.

A strong cold front will come through the area on Wednesday giving us a chance of rain or snow.

Cold Arctic air will follow the front with temperatures Thursday and Friday only rising to the freezing mark with overnight lows in the teens in the Clifton area and dropping to the single digits inland.

Skies are mostly clear early on the Friday morning and the temperature here in Clifton is down to 30 degrees which is the first below freezing temperature of the season, readings inland are down in the mid 20s and with winds from the west 10-15 mph wind chill values are down in the teens.

Today will be quite cold and windy with high temperatures struggling to reach the 40 degree mark.

Dry weather will persist on Saturday although there may be some flurries, temperature will continue to be cold.

The next storm system will affect our weather Sunday afternoon into Monday, snow should develop in the afternoon and continue into Monday morning then mixing with and changing to rain, snowfall amounts should average around 2-4 inches with higher amounts further inland.

Tuesday should be dry and seasonably cold.

A strong cold front will cause some snow or rain showers on Wednesday followed by even colder weather for the end of next week.

We have mostly cloudy skies early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from the mid 30s in the Clifton area to the upper 20s further inland, winds are  nearly calm.

Today we will have a mix of clouds and sun, tempertures will be seasonably mild however colder air from the west will cause readings to fall by late this afternoon.  Temperatures by tomorrow morning will drop to below freezing here in Clifton for the first time this season, this is the latest this occurred since I started my records in 1973.

Cold and windy tomorrow with a chance of some snow flurries especially inland.

Below normal air will be with us through the weekend it will be dry on Saturday but an area of low pressure will likely give us some snow from late Sunday afternoon into Monday morning changing to rain before ending Monday afternoon.  My first guess is that we could pickup 2-4 inches of the white stuff with 3-6 inches further inland.

High pressure will give us dry conditions Tuesday and Wednesday with below normal temperatures.  Even colder air is possible late next week.

Skies are cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and there is some drizzle or mist in some areas, temperatures range from the upper 30s here in the Clifton area to the low 30s in some of the colder inland areas, winds are light.

Drizzle or light rain will end this morning but mainly cloudy skies will be with us as a low pressure moves out to sea and a weak cold front moves through the area, temperatures will be slightly above normal reaching near the 50 degree mark.

Thursday will remain dry but slightly cooler, another cold front will cross the area at night.

The coldest air of the season will be with us Friday through the weekend, Friday will be the windiest day with a slight chance of flurries, Saturday will be the coldest day with highs only in the  30s.

Another low pressure will likely give us rain Sunday night into Monday, some of the precipitation may begin as a wintery mix especially inland.
