Sunshine returns today with mild temperatures! Light rain Friday afternoon and evening! Mild and dry Saturday! Stronger rainstorm likely Sunday afternoon through Tuesday!


Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from the upper 30s in the Clifton area to the low 30s further inland, these readings are about 15 degrees above the normal low tempertures for this time of year.

Today will be a pleasantly mild day with sunshine finally returning, temperatures are expected to reach the 50s and with light winds it will feel quite comfortable for the middle of winter.

A weak disturbance will cause some light rain Friday afternoon and evening.

Saturday will be another pleasant day with sunshine and mild tempertures.

A stronger low pressure system will cause rain from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday with Monday being the wettest day with strong winds and coastal flooding likely, total rainfall amounts during this period will average 1-2 inches with higher amounts possible depending on the track of the storm.

Mild and dry weather Wednesday and Thursday with a possible return to colder and more normal tempertures by the end of next week.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy, low in the low 30s.

FRIDAY – Increasing cloudiness with rain developing mainly after 3 p.m., high in the mid 40s.

SATURDAY – Partly sunny, high in the mid 50s.

SUNDAY – Cloudy with a chance of rain after 10 a.m., high in the upper 40s, rain likely at night.

MONDAY – Cloudy with rain, windy with highs in the mid 40s.

TUESDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the low 50s.

WEDNESDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the low 50s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  Small craft advisory in effect till 6 p.m this evening, west to northwest wind to 7 knots, seas 4-6 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Friday through Sunday morning with small craft advisories likely Sunday afternoon and night with gales likely on Monday; small craft advisories still possible for high seas Tuesday and Wednesday.
