TUESDAY, JANUARY 31, 2017  6:03 A.M.

Skies have become cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are colder than they have been for the last couple of mornings ranging from the mid 20s in the Clifton area to the upper teens further inland, these low temperatures are actually normal for this time of year.

An Alberta clipper will be moving through the area today with light snow developing later this morning and continuing into this afternoon, expected accumulations range from 1-2 inches in the Clifton area to 2-3 inches across northwest New Jersey and the Hudson Valley.

We clear out on Wednesday but it will be milder but a stiff westerly wind will make it feel colder.

A cold front will cross the area early on Thursday with colder air following the front for Friday through the weekend.

A storm is expected to develop over the weekend and may give us some snow on Super Bowl Sunday.
