Increasing clouds and milder today! Light rain likely Tuesday afternoon and night! Record warmth with possible strong thunderstorms on Wednesday!

MONDAY FEBRUARY 27, 2017  5:55 A.M.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from near 30 in the Clifton area to some upper 10s well inland, winds are light southwesterly.

Today we will see a increase in clouds and temperatures will rise quickly after a cold start as high pressure moves off the coast and a southwest flow brings in the milder air.

Tuesday will be a cloudy day with a chance of light rain Tuesday afternoon with rain becoming more likely at night.

Wednesday will be an interesting weather day similar to Saturday as a warm front moves through in the morning and temperatures rise to near record levels with highs in the 70s then a cold front will approach in the afternoon and a line of potentially strong to severe thunderstorms is expected to develop.

Thursday will be cooler and windy.

Friday will be chilly and a weak low pressure system will give us a slight chance of snow in the morning changing to rain in the afternoon.

The upcoming weekend looks to be dry, with cold conditions on Saturday becoming milder on Sunday.
