Rainy and cool today! Showers Friday morning then clearing and milder! Nice weather on Saturday with possible showers Sunday and on Memorial Day!

THURSDAY  MAY 25, 2017  5:48 A.M.

Light rain is falling across the area early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from the upper 50s in the Clifton area down to the low 50s further inland; winds are from the east around 10 mph.

A low pressure system will be moving through the area today causing rain possibly moderate at times into this afternoon; temperatures with the clouds and precipitation will be on the cool side. There may be a break in the precipitation late this afternoon into early this evening, but more showers and possible thunderstorms are expected to develop late tonight into Friday morning.

The low pressure area will move off the New England coast on Friday, causing showers in the morning followed by clearing and milder temperatures in the afternoon.

Saturday appears the best day of the holiday weekend as high pressure builds into the area, temperatures will be seasonably mild.

Another low pressure system will likely give us more showers Sunday into Memorial Day, temperatures will be near seasonable levels.
