Becoming sunny and much less humid after morning showers! Beautiful weather for Sunday! More rain on Monday, possibly heavy!


SATURDAY  AUGUST 5, 2017  5:53 A.M.

Showers and thunderstorms are moving through the area early on this Saturday morning and temperatures range from the low 70s in Clifton to the mid 60s further inland, winds are light southerly and the humidity remains high.

A cold front will cross the area this morning, showers and thunderstorms preceding the front will move offshore.  This afternoon will become mostly sunny, a little breezy and much less humid.

High pressure in the area will give us a very nice day on Sunday with seasonably warm temperatures along with low humidity.

A low pressure system will likely give us rain on Monday which may be heavy at times.

Clearing for Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures a little below normal.

Another system may give us more showers on Thursday.

 

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – AUG 5 – Showers and thunderstorms this morning then becoming mostly sunny and less humid by this afternoon, high in the mid 80s.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear and comfortable, low in the upper 50s.

SUNDAY – AUG 6 – Sunny, high in the low 80s.

MONDAY – AUG 7 –  Cloudy with showers likely by the afternoon, rain may be heavy at times, high in the upper 70s.

TUESDAY – AUG 8 – Mostly cloudy in the morning then becoming partly sunny, high near 80.

WEDNESDAY – AUG 9 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 80s.

THURSDAY – AUG 10 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high near 80.

FRIDAY – AUG 11 – Partly sunny, high near 80.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – Southwest wind to  10 knots, seas 1 foot.   Belmar’s ocean temperature is 75 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected on Sunday; possible small craft conditions on Monday; no advisories expected for Tuesday and Wednesday.
