THURSDAY AUGUST 24, 2017 5:43 A.M.
Our area has mostly clear skies early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are cooler than the last few mornings ranging from the low 60s in the Clifton area down to the low 50s further inland, winds are light.
High pressure will be in control of our weather through the weekend giving us pleasant temperatures along with low humidity and plenty of sunshine. Daytime highs will be mainly in the upper 70s while overnight lows will dip into the 50s with some 40s further inland.
The high pressure will move offshore early next week but still be strong enough to continue the very pleasant late August weather although winds will be coming in more from off the ocean.
