Mostly cloudy and cool today! Milder over the weekend with a low chance of some light rain or drizzle!


FRIDAY  OCTOBER 13, 2017.  5:54 A.M.

Skies are partly to mostly cloudy early on this Friday the 13th, temperatures range from the upper 40s in the Clifton area down to the low 40s further inland, winds are light northeasterly.

A strong high pressure off the New England coast will keep a light onshore flow, skies will become cloudy, temperatures will be similar to yesterday’s averaging in the mid 60s which is normal for this time of year.

A weak trough will be moving into the area on Saturday, skies will remain mostly cloudy and there is a chance of some light rain or drizzle, it will become milder and more humid.

There still will be a chance of some light rain Sunday morning followed by clearing and it will be warm and humid, high temperatures should reach the 80s.  A cold front will approach the area causing a chance of some showers at night.

The front will be followed by much cooler air on Monday.  High pressure then will be with us providing dry conditions through next week, Monday and Tuesday will be seasonably cool with above normal temperatures again returning by late in the week….

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy, low in the upper 50s.

SATURDAY – OCT 14 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of light rain or drizzle, high in the low 70s.

SUNDAY – OCT 15 – Chance of light rain in the morning then becoming partly sunny, warm and humid, high in the low 80s, chance of showers at night.

MONDAY – OCT 16 – Mostly sunny and cooler, high in the mid 60s.

TUESDAY – OCT 17 – Sunny, high in the low 60s.

WEDNESDAY – OCT 18 – Sunny, high near 70.

THURSDAY – OCT 19 – Sunny, high in the low 70s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  A small craft advisory is in effect till 6 p.m. on Saturday.  Today – East winds to 25 knots, seas 6-9 feet.

OUTLOOK – Possible small craft conditions for high seas on Sunday;  no advisories expected Monday and Tuesday.
