Another day of record warmth today! Much cooler on Thursday with periods of rain that may be mixed with sleet at night!


WEDNESDAY  FEBRUARY 21, 2018  5:53 A.M.

Good morning everyone!   Our area has low clouds early this morning and there is some patchy fog around again, temperatures are incredibly warm with temperatures in the low 60s here in Clifton but range down to the 40s further inland, Walpack now is down to a chilly 38 degrees.   Yesterday the temperature reached 68 degrees here in Clifton which was a record for the date.

Low clouds should burn off after sunrise and it will be a very warm day with temperatures reaching the 70s which would be another record high for today.  A cold front will move through the area tonight possibly accompanied by an evening shower.

Tomorrow will be much cooler day with periods of rain that may mix with some sleet late tomorrow afternoon into the night, temperatures in the 40s tomorrow morning will drop to the 30s by night.

Friday will be a cool day with periods of rain which may be mixed with frozen precipitation in the morning inland.

The weekend looks to be unsettled with periods of rain, it will be milder with highs both days in the 50s.

Dry weather returns early next week with slightly above normal temperatures.

TODAY – FEB 21 – Mostly cloudy this morning then become partly sunny and unseasonably warm, high in the low 70s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of an evening shower, low in the low 40s.

THURSDAY – FEB 22 – Much cooler with periods of rain, morning highs in the 40s dropping to the 30s by sunset.  Rain may be mixed with sleet at night.

FRIDAY – FEB 23 – Cloudy and cool with a periods of rain, mixed with sleet in the morning, high in the low 40s.

SATURDAY – FEB 24 – Cloudy with a chance of rain, milder, high in the mid 50s.

SUNDAY – FEB 25 – Cloudy with rain likely, high in the upper 50s.

MONDAY – FEB 26 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 50s.

TUESDAY- FEB 27 – Mostly sunny, high near 50.

 

MARINE FORECAST:   TODAY – South-southwest wind to 13 knots, seas 3 feet.

OUTLOOK – Possible small craft conditions Thursday and Friday; no advisories expected on Saturday; possible small craft conditions again on Sunday.
