Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly clear early this morning and temperatures are quite mild ranging from the low 70s in the Clifton area down to 60 degrees in some of the cooler areas well inland, winds are light southwesterly.

It will be a very hot day today with increasing humidity as temperatures rise into the 90s and with the dew points rising  to near 70 it will cause heat indexes to rise to near 100 degrees, a heat advisory is in effect.   A cold front approaching from the northwest will touch off some shower and thunderstorm activity this evening into tonight.

The cold front will cross the area before daybreak on Tuesday followed by less humid air, it will still be quite warm with highs near 90.

Wednesday will start off dry but a weak disturbance will give us a chance of showers at night, temperatures will not be as warm.

Thursday and Friday will be quite pleasant as another high pressure builds into the area, temperatures will be seasonably warm but with comfortable humidity.

The weekend’s weather looks to be a bit more pessimistic as a front will be approaching, the best chance of showers will be from Saturday night into Sunday, temperatures will be still seasonably warm but the humidity will increase.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, low in the mid 70s.

TUESDAY – JUN 19 – Mostly cloudy in the morning then become sunny and less humid, high near 90.

WEDNESDAY – JUN 20 – Partly sunny, high in the low 80s, chance of showers at night.

THURSDAY – JUN 21 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

FRIDAY – JUN 22 – Sunny, high in the low 80s.

SATURDAY – JUN 23 – Partly sunny, high near 80, chance of showers at night.

SUNDAY – JUN 24 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the mid 80s.

 

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Southerly winds to 15 knots, seas  1-2 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Tuesday through Friday.
