Plenty of sunshine today and a little warmer! Warmer Monday and Tuesday with a chance of showers Tuesday night!

A chilly start across the area as temperatures have dipped down to the upper 50s in the Clifton area down to some upper 40s in some of our outlying areas, skies are mostly clear and the winds are mainly light or calm.

Strong high pressure will continue to give us plenty of sunshine today with high temperatures about five degrees higher than that was recorded on Saturday.  Dew points will be in the comfortable 50s.

Warmer Monday and Tuesday as the high pressure moves offshore.  Plenty of sunshine both days, humidity will only slowly rise.

Some showers possible Tuesday night as a weak front passes through the area.

Dry and seasonably warm temperatures with moderate humidity Wednesday through the beginning of next weekend.

TODAY – JUL 8 – Sunny, high in the mid 80s.

TONIGHT – Clear, low in the low 60s.

MONDAY – JUL 9 – Sunny, high in the upper 80s.

TUESDAY – JUL  10 – Sunny, high in the low 90s, chance of a shower or thunderstorm at night.

WEDNESDAY – JUL 11 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 80s.

THURSDAY – JUL 12 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

FRIDAY – JUL 13 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

SATURDAY – JUL 14 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 80s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – Northeast wind to 10 knots, seas 2 feet.   Belmar’s ocean temperature is 74 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Monday through the day on Tuesday;  possible small craft conditions Tuesday night into Wednesday; no advisories expected on Thursday.

 

TROPICS!  Tropical storm Chris as formed off the Carolina coast and is expected to meander off the coast before moving out to sea on Wednesday and should not affect our weather.
