Hot and humid today with a chance of a late afternoon or evening shower and thunderstorm! Humid with heavy rain likely on Tuesday!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly clear early this morning and it is warm and muggy with temperatures ranging from the mid 70s in the Clifton area down to the mid 60s further inland, winds are light and the humidity is high with dew points near 70.  Yesterday I recorded .68 inches of rainfall.

Today will be a hot and humid day and we should see plenty of sunshine, there is a low chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm.  Temperatures will rise to the low 90s and with the dew point in the low 70s will cause heat indexes to approach 100 degrees, a heat advisory is in effect.

A cold front approaching the area will cause showers and thunderstorms to develop on Tuesday, some heavy rain is possible with these storms.  It will continue to be very warm and humid.

High pressure will build into the area on Wednesday and will dominate our weather through Friday with plenty of sunshine each day along with seasonably warm temperatures and low humidity.

Unsettled weather for this upcoming weekend as a front and low pressure move into the area. The humidity will rise along with a chance of showers, at this time the best chance of rain this weekend will be on Sunday.
