One more nice day today with plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures and humidity! Coastal storm to give the area heavy rain from late Saturday into Sunday!

Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly clear early this morning and temperatures range from the middle 60s in the Clifton area down to the low 50s in some areas further inland, winds are mainly calm.

High pressure moving off the New England coast will give us another nice day today with plenty of sunshine and seasonably warm temperatures and continued comfortable humidity.

Most of Saturday will be dry but a coastal low pressure moving up the coast will cause rain to develop mainly after 4 p.m., an onshore wind will increase later in the day.  Rain will be heavy at times at night before tapering off Sunday morning.  Rainfall will average 1-2 inches with higher amounts possible.

The low will move to our north on Sunday with a warm front passing through, it will be warmer and more humid with still a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

A very wet pattern will be with us most of next week as a strong ridge of high pressure will be offshore and low pressure will be to our west this will cause a southerly flow of humid air all week with a chance of showers and thunderstorms each day.  Daytime highs will be seasonable with highs mostly in the 80s, nighttime temperatures will be warm with lows mainly in the 70s.  Dew points will be mostly in the oppressive low 70s.
