Good morning everyone!

Skies are mainly cloudy early this morning and it is warm and muggy with temperatures ranging from the low 70s in the Clifton area down to the upper 60s further inland, there are some scattered light showers in parts of the area.  The humidity is high with dew points near 70 degrees.

A low pressure trough to our west will give us mostly cloudy skies today, showers are likely and may be heavy at times especially this afternoon and evening, a flood watch is in effect.  High temperatures will only reach to around 80 due to the considerable cloudiness but the humidity will be high with dew points rising to the low 70s.

Still a chance of showers on Tuesday as the low pressure trough slowly move through the area, high temperatures will be a couple of degrees higher than today and the humidity will remain high.

Dry but hot conditions Wednesday and Thursday but the humidity will slightly drop as dew points will mostly be in the 60s.

Quite warm and humid Friday with a chance of showers.

At this point the weekend looks to be dry with seasonably warm temperatures.

TODAY – AUG 13 – Cloudy and humid with numerous showers and thunderstorms, rain may be heavy at times, high near 80.  Flash flood watch in effect.

TONIGHT – Cloudy and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, rain may be heavy at times, log in the upper 60s.

TUESDAY – AUG 14 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the mid 80s.

WEDNESDAY – AUG 15 – Mostly sunny and hot but a little less humid, high near 90.

THURSDAY – AUG 16  – Mostly sunny and hot, high near 90.

FRIDAY – AUG 17 – Partly sunny and more humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.

SATURDAY – AUG 18 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 80s.

SUNDAY – AUG 19 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:   TODAY – East-northeast wind to 11 knots, seas 2-3 feet.  Belmar’s ocean temperature is 77 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Tuesday through Friday.
