Some sunshine returns today but it will be breezy! Dry and cool weather Tuesday through the day on Thursday!


Good morning!

Skies are mainly cloudy early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from the upper 30s in Clifton down to the low 30s further inland, winds are light from the northwest.

The storm that gave us the rain yesterday is moving off the coast while weak high pressure builds into the area.  We will see some sunshine but it will still be mostly cloudy and breezy with temperatures a little above normal.

A cold front will cross the area early tomorrow morning, we should see more sunshine but it will be breezy and colder.

After a chilly Wednesday morning temperatures during the day will not be as cold as Tuesday.

Mild and dry most of Thursday but rain from a rather strong low pressure system will move into the area Thursday night and continue heavy at times into Friday.

At this point the weekend looks to be dry with temperatures slightly above normal.

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – DEC 17 – Mostly cloudy and breezy, high in the mid 40s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy, low in the upper 20s.

TUESDAY – DEC 18 – Sunny and breezy, high in the upper 30s.

WEDNESDAY – DEC 19 – Sunny, high in the low 40s.

THURSDAY – DEC 20 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 40s, rain at night.

FRIDAY – DEC 21 – Rain and mild, high in the mid 50s.

SATURDAY – DEC 22 = Partly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

SUNDAY – DEC 23 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 40s.

MARINE FORECAST:  A gale warning is in effect from noon today until 6 p.m. Tuesday evening for northwest winds gusting to 40 knots, seas 5-8 feet.

OUTLOOK – Small craft advisories expected Tuesday night; no advisories expected Wednesday through the day on Thursday; small craft advisories expected Thursday night into Friday.
