Dry and chilly weather today but with much less wind! Only a slight chance of flurries tonight! Mainly dry most of next week!

Skies are clear and it is cold with temperatures ranging from around 16 in Clifton down to 9 degrees at High Point, these readings are the coldest since the day after Thanksgiving when the temperature in Clifton dropped to 11 degrees. Winds are light.

High pressure will give us a partly sunny day today and it will again be cold but with much less wind than the last three days.

The low pressure that is giving heavy snow now across the central part of the country will slip south of us tonight and tomorrow and will only give us a slight chance of flurries.

We should see clearing on Sunday with cold temperatures and light winds.

Mainly dry weather most of next week with near seasonable temperatures.

A strong frontal system will give us a chance of snow or rain on Friday.

TONIGHT – Cloudy with a slight chance of snow flurries, low in the low 20s.

SUNDAY – JAN 13 – Cloudy early then becoming mostly sunny, high in the low 30s.

MONDAY – JAN 14 – Sunny, high in the mid 30s.

TUESDAY – JAN 15 – Sunny, high near 40.

WEDNESDAY – JAN 16 – Sunny, high in the low 40s.

THURSDAY – JAN 17 – Mostly sunny and colder, high in the low 30s.

FRIDAY – JAN 18 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain or snow, high near 40.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – North-northwest wind to 8 knots, seas 1 foot.

OUTLOOK – A small craft advisory has been posted effective from 4 p.m Saturday afternoon until 6 a.m on Sunday; advisories likely for higher seas on Monday; no advisories expected Tuesday and Wednesday.
