High pressure will build into the area today and we should see some sunshine with temperatures near seasonable levels.

A weak disturbance will give us another chance of light snow tomorrow morning with coating to an inch possible.

Another weak disturbance will give us a chance of light snow Saturday morning, then change to light rain in the afternoon, again a coating of snow is possible.

A more significant low pressure will approach the area and move off the coast Sunday night. There will be more moisture with this storm, snow accumulations will depend on the track of this storm.

Following the storm, unseasonably cold weather but mainly dry conditions much of the rest of next week.

The storm that produced the strong winds yesterday will move further away across the Canadian maritimes as high pressure builds into our area, it still will be a little breezy with gusts in the low 20s. Despite plenty of sunshine high temperatures will only reach the upper 30s.

Cold tonight and on Wednesday with high pressure in our area. A weak disturbance may give us some light snow Wednesday night, at this time possible accumulations will be around an inch.

Dry and cool on Thursday.

Another disturbance may cause some snow late Friday night changing to rain on Saturday.

Dry weather Sunday into early next week, temperatures however will be well below normal for early March.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from the upper 30s in Clifton down to around 30 further inland. However the main issue is the winds as westerly winds have been gusting to above 50 mph at Teterboro and Newark airports.

It will continue to be extremely windy today as two low pressure areas will combine and form an intense storm over the Canadian maritime region. Skies will be mostly sunny and temperatures will be near normal. Wind gusts to 55 mph possible.

Diminishing winds on Tuesday as high pressure builds closer to our area, temperatures will be colder than today.

A weak disturbance will give us a chance of light snow Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.

Another stronger low is expected to give us precipitation Friday into Saturday but at this time most of it will fall as rain possible beginning as a wintry mix.

Well below normal temperatures can be expected Sunday into at least the beginning of next week.

Rain is falling across the area early on this Sunday morning and temperatures range from the upper 30s in Clifton down to around 30 at high elevations well inland where freezing rain is occurring. Winds are mainly light northeasterly.

Low pressure will move to the Great Lakes area as another low moves up the coast, rain will continue most of this morning before tapering off around noon, temperatures will rise into the 50s.

A high wind warning is in effect for our area from late tonight through Monday as the low pressure intensifies over the Canadian maritime region. Possible gusts up to 60 mph may cause some tree and power lines to come down. It will be a good idea to secure loose objects around your homes. In the past some of the anticipated high wind events didn’t turn out as bad as forecasted and hopefully this will be the case this time.

Most of the rest of this week will be dry and chilly but another disturbance will give us a chance of light rain or snow from late Thursday night into Saturday.

High pressure moving off the New England coast will keep us dry during the day today, skies will remain mostly cloudy, high temperatures will be a little above normal.

A storm system will be moving into the Great Lakes area, rain from this system will develop mainly after 9 p.m and continue into Sunday morning, rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches of rain is likely. It will become very mild ahead of a cold front that will cross our area Sunday evening.

Following the cold front winds will pick up and gusts to 50 mph are possible Sunday night into the day on Monday, temperatures will near seasonable levels on Monday.

The rest of the week looks to be mainly dry with slightly below normal temperatures.

After yesterday’s snow and freezing rain untreated roads and sidewalks may be icy early this morning. Yesterday I recorded 2 inches of snow and ice accumulation.

The low pressure responsible for yesterday’s mess is moving away and a westerly flow of drier air will move into our area, temperatures will rise into the 50s, melting much of the snow and ice we received yesterday. It will become mostly sunny and winds will be brisk. Note – last year on this date the temperature rose to a record breaking 80 degrees.

Dry weather with slightly above normal temperatures Friday into the day on Saturday.

A low pressure area will give us rain Saturday night into Sunday morning, the rain may be heavy at times.

Sunday afternoon and Monday will be dry but with strong winds on the back side of the low pressure that will be moving into the Canadian maritime region.

After a dry Tuesday some rain or snow showers are possible on Wednesday.

A low pressure system will move into the area today with snow developing around 1 p.m. and may come down moderately at times this afternoon. The timing for the snow is similar to the November storm that caused massive traffic problems but hopefully the snow will not come down as heavy as back then. Still it still could be a mess. Total accumulations of 2-4 inches are likely. The precipitation will change to sleet and freezing rain this evening before changing to all rain before ending mainly before daybreak tomorrow.

Some sunshine by tomorrow afternoon will help temperatures rise into the 50s ahead of a cold front that will come through at night.

Seasonably mild and dry Friday into the day on Saturday but another storm system will give us precipitation Saturday night into Sunday, this time it will be warm enough so only plain rain is expected.
