Unseasonably cold weather to continue today and tomorrow! Milder over the weekend with rain on Sunday!


Good morning!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning and it is again quite cold with temperatures ranging from the mid teens in Clifton to 7 at High Point, winds are from the northwest around 5-10 mph.

Arctic high pressure will continue to dominate our weather today and tomorrow with much below normal temperatures, skies will be partly to mostly sunny. There is a slight chance of flurries mainly inland both days, but most area will remain dry.

Slightly milder on Friday, there will be a slight chance of light snow in the afternoon and at night, but again most areas will remain dry.

Saturday will be a milder day along with mostly sunny skies.

A more significant low pressure will give us rain on Sunday, possibly starting off as a wintry mix well inland.

Dry weather for early next week, temperatures on Monday will be above normal but then cool to near normal temperatures on Tuesday.

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – MAR 6 – Mostly sunny breezy and quite cold, high only in the upper 20s.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy, low in the mid teens.

THURSDAY – MAR 7 – Partly sunny, high in the low 30s.

FRIDAY – MAR 8 – Increasing cloudiness, high in the upper 30s.

SATURDAY – MAR 9 – Sunny, high in the mid 40s.

SUNDAY – MAR 10 – Rain, mainly between 9 a.m until 9 p.m., high in the upper 40s.

MONDAY – MAR 11 – Mostly sunny, high near 50.

TUESDAY – MAR 12 – Sunny, high in the mid 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday morning for northwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 2-4 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Thursday through Saturday; small craft advisories likely for Sunday.

    We went to Garvin’s last night. He had just returned from Ireland… He says the cows are back grazing in the fields and the daffodils are already blooming….
