Cold front will cause showers late this morning into early this afternoon followed by cooler and dry weather tonight through Tuesday!

Our skies are partly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and unlike most morning temperatures they are lower here than inland, with the upper 40s in Clifton ranging to the upper 50s further inland, winds are light southerly. Some areas may smell some smoke from a forest fire in the Pinelands in Burlington county.

Today a cold front will cross the area early this afternoon, showers with this system will be mostly likely between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Temperatures will rise to around 60 this morning before dropping to the upper 40s by sunset.

Dry and cooler weather can be expected tonight through Tuesday, overnight lows tonight and Monday night will drop to around 30, daytime highs will only be in the 40s on Monday and rise a bit to the 50s on Tuesday. High pressure will build in from the west.

Mainly dry weather with milder temperatures Wednesday and Thursday.

The next chance of rain after today’s showers will be from Friday afternoon into Saturday morning. Temperatures will be a little above normal for early April.

TODAY – MAR 31 – Mostly cloudy with showers mainly between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., highs near 60 dropping to the upper 40s by sunset.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy and cooler, low around 30.

MONDAY – APR 1 – Sunny, high in the upper 40s.

TUESDAY – APR 2 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 50s.

WEDNESDAY – APR 3 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 60s.

THURSDAY – APR 4 – Mostly sunny, high near 60.

FRIDAY – APR 5 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the upper 50s.

SATURDAY – APR 6 – Chance of morning showers then becoming partly sunny, high in the low 60.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Monday morning for south winds gusting to 25 knots this morning becoming northwest by this afternoon gusting to 30 knots, seas 4-7 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected from Monday afternoon through the day on Tuesday; advisories expected Tuesday night through Wednesday night; no advisories expected for Thursday.
