Periods of rain today into tonight! Clearing but windy on Saturday! More showers possible on Sunday! Unsettled weather much of next week!


Good morning!

Rain is falling across much of the area early on this Friday morning, temperatures are mild with readings ranging from the low 50s in Clifton down to the upper 40s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

A warm front will pass north of the area followed by a cold front tonight, Periods of rain are expected during the day today into tonight, rainfall amounts of 1/2 to 1 inch is likely. With the rain and clouds temperatures will be in the low 60s.

Clearing will take place on Saturday as the storm system moves to the Canadian maritimes and high pressure builds into the area from the southwest. It will become windy with gusts to 35 mph are possible.

A weak disturbance will give us a good chance of showers on Sunday followed by clearing and cooler at night, overnight lows may drop into the 30s.

Fair and dry weather is expected on Monday but unsettled weather with a chance of showers Monday night through Thursday, temperatures will be near or slightly below normal during this period.

TODAY – APR 26 – Rain this morning then showers this afternoon, high in the low 60s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with showers, low in the upper 40s.

SATURDAY – APR 27 – Partly sunny and windy, high near 60, wind gusts to 35 mph possible.

SUNDAY – APR 28 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high near 60.

MONDAY – APR 29 – Sunny, high near 60, chance of rain at night.

TUESDAY – APR 30 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the upper 60s.

WEDNESDAY – MAY 1 – Partly sunny in the morning then becoming mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the afternoon, high in the low 60s.

THURSDAY – MAY 2 – Cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the low 60s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory will be in effect from 1 p.m. this afternoon until 6 p.m. this evening for southerly winds to 25 knots, seas 3-6 feet. A gale watch is in effect from 6 p.m this evening until 4 p.m Saturday afternoon.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Saturday night into Sunday morning! possible small craft conditions late Sunday into Sunday night; no advisories expected Monday and Tuesday.
