Very warm and humid today with scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms possible! Much cooler and less humid Tuesday and Wednesday along with plenty of sunshine!


Good morning!

Our skies are mostly cloudy early on this Monday morning and it is quite muggy and warm with temperatures ranging from the upper 60s in Clifton down to the low 60s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

Rainfall amount of .57 fell in overnight showers and thunderstorms.

Today will be very warm with a chance of seeing our first 90 degree reading. A cold front will cross the area tonight which will possibly touch off a shower and thunderstorm this afternoon and evening, this activity will be scattered so most areas will remain dry.

High pressure will build into our area on Tuesday and it will be cooler and much less humid. Continued pleasant on Wednesday with seasonable temperatures continuing. Both days will feature plenty of sunshine.

Seasonably warm temperatures are expected late this week into the holiday weekend, a couple of weak fronts may touch off a couple of showers Thursday night and again Saturday night but most of this period will be dry with no widespread rain expected.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy with a chance of evening showers and thunderstorms, becoming mostly clear and less humid after midnight, low in the mid 50s.

TUESDAY – MAY 21 – Sunny, cooler and much less humid, high in the low 70s.

WEDNESDAY – MAY 22 – Sunny, high in the mid 70s.

THURSDAY – MAY 23 – Partly sunny, high in the mid 70s, chance of showers at night.

FRIDAY – MAY 24 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 70s.

SATURDAY – MAY 25 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 70s, chance of showers at night.

SUNDAY – MAY 26 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – South-southwest wind to 13 knots, seas 2 feet.
