Mostly sunny and seasonably mild today! Much warmer and more humid on Sunday with a low chance of early morning showers and late afternoon and evening thunderstorms! Mostly sunny and warm on Memorial Day!


Good morning!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Saturday morning and temperatures range from the mid 50s in Clifton down to the low 40s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

High pressure over the area will give us a nice day today, temperatures will be a little lower than on Friday but there will be much less wind.

A warm front will be moving north of our area overnight with a chance of showers. The front will be followed by much warmer and humid air along with partly sunny skies. Our area has a good chance of hitting the 90 degree mark. A weak cold front may touch off some late afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

Memorial Day will be warm but less humid along with mostly sunny skies.

Tuesday will be partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms as a warm front approaches our area, temperatures will be near seasonable levels.

Very warm and humid again Wednesday and Thursday along with a chance of showers and thunderstorms both days.

High pressure will then build in for Friday providing us with mostly sunny and warm temperatures.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after midnight, low around 60.

SUNDAY – MAY 25 – Mostly sunny, very warm and humid with a chance of a late afternoon shower or thunderstorm, high in the upper 80s.

MEMORIAL DAY – MAY 26 – Mostly sunny, high near 80.

TUESDAY – MAY 27 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the mid 70s.

WEDNESDAY – MAY 28 – Mostly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.

THURSDAY – MAY 29 – Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.

FRIDAY – MAY 30 – Sunny, high near 80.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Southerly winds to 12 knots, seas 1 foot. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 55 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Sunday through Wednesday.
