Showers with a few rumbles of thunder this morning! First heatwave of the summer likely Wednesday through Saturday!


Good morning!

Skies are cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and there are some showers and thunderstorms approaching from the south and west and should move into the Clifton area shortly. Temperatures are quite warm ranging from the low 70s in Clifton down to the mid 60s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

An area of showers with some rumbles of thunder will be in our area till around 10 a.m., we should see some sunshine this afternoon with only a slight chance of a shower as a weak cold front moves through, temperatures will continue to be warm.

Our first heatwave of the season is likely Wednesday through Saturday with high temperatures 90 and above. We should stay dry until Saturday when a cold front approaches the area causing a chance of showers.

Somewhat cooler and dry Sunday and Monday.

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – JUNE 25 – Showers and possibly a thunderstorm until 10 a.m. then becoming partly sunny with a low chance of a shower this afternoon, high in the mid 80s.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy, low in the upper 60s.

WEDNESDAY – JUNE 26 – Sunny, high near 90.

THURSDAY – JUNE 27 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 90s.

FRIDAY – JUNE 28 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 90s.

SATURDAY – JUNE 29 – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.

SUNDAY – JUNE 30 – Mostly sunny, cooler and less humid, high in the mid 80s.

MONDAY – JULY 1 – Sunny, high in the low 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – Southerly winds to 9 knots, seas 1 foot.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Wednesday through Saturday.
