Skies are mostly clear early on this July 4th and temperatures are warm with readings ranging from the low 70s in Clifton down to the low 60s further inland, winds are mainly calm and it is still muggy with dew points in the upper 60s.

High pressure over the area will give us a dry day today with plenty of sunshine, it will be continued quite warm and humid.

A frontal system will cause mostly cloudy skies on Friday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, it will continue to be humid.

Showers and thunderstorms are more likely on Saturday, rain may be heavy at times and it will be very humid with dew points rising into the oppressive 70s.

Cooler and less humid on Sunday but there will still be a chance of an afternoon shower but most areas will stay dry.

Pleasantly warm and dry weather is expected for Monday through Wednesday as high pressure builds into our area.
