Skies are partly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and temperatures range from the low 60s in Clifton down to the low 50s further inland, winds are light from the northeast. The dew points are in the comfortable 50s.

Strong high pressure over eastern Canada will give our area a light onshore flow of seasonably cool air along with continued low humidity. Coastal areas may see more clouds and possibly some drizzle.

Dry weather with continued seasonably cool weather Monday and Tuesday.

Warmer on Wednesday but a cold front will give us a chance of mainly afternoon or evening showers.

The front will be followed by dry weather Thursday through at least the start of the holiday weekend along with warm temperatures and rather comfortable humidity.

MONDAY – AUG 26 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 70s.

TUESDAY – AUG 27 – Partly sunny, high in the mid 70s.

WEDNESDAY – AUG 28 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of afternoon and evening showers, high in the low 80s.

THURSDAY – AUG 29 – Partly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

FRIDAY – AUG 30 – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 80s.

SATURDAY – AUG 31 – Sunny, high in the mid 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. Monday evening for northeast winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 5-8 feet. Point Pleasant Beach ocean temperature is 70 degrees. There is a high risk of dangerous rip currents today.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Tuesday through Thursday.
