CLIFTON’S WEATHER ALMANAC FOR SEPTEMBER 27TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 71 AVERAGE LOW: 53

RECORD HIGH: 89 – 1998 RECORD LOW: 38 – 1989

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 83 LOW: 56 PRECIPITATION: .15″

NOTE: On this day in 1985 Hurricane Gloria gave our area heavy rain and damaging winds.

High pressure over the area will give us mostly sunny skies, any fog will quickly burn off just after sunrise, temperature will be cooler than yesterday and the humidity will be low.

Saturday will be warmer as the high pressure moves off the coast. We will continue to have mostly sunny skies and the humidity will rise by late in the day. A weak cold front will give us a low chance of some showers at night.

Sunday will be a little cooler and less humid as another high pressure builds over the area but with mostly sunny skies.

Dry weather on Monday with seasonable temperatures as high pressure moves off the New England coast.

Warmer on Tuesday and especially on Wednesday as a return southwest flow develops, a stronger front will give us a chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday night with some showers continuing on Thursday.

Much cooler weather is expected Friday into next weekend.
