Rain and mild today! Sunny and mild on Monday! Chance of light rain on Tuesday! Possible heavy rain for Halloween!


Good morning!

Skies are cloudy early on this Sunday morning and there is some showers in the area, temperatures are mild ranging from the mid 50s in Clifton down to the middle 40s further inland, winds are from the east.

Low pressure over the Great Lakes with warm front approaching from the south will give our area rain, the heaviest rain will be falling later this morning into early this afternoon. Rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are likely. The rain should end by the middle of this afternoon. Temperatures will be mild with some readings possibly reaching the 70 degree mark.

Sunshine returns on Monday giving us a nice fall day with mild temperatures.

A weak onshore flow on Tuesday may give us some drizzle or light rain.

After a dry and mild Wednesday it appears that Halloween will be wet as another frontal system moves into our area. Rain will be most likely Thursday afternoon through Friday morning. Temperatures will continue to be mild.

Dry and cooler weather is expected for next weekend.

TODAY – OCT 27 – Rain today with a chance of thunderstorms early this afternoon, rain ending later this afternoon, high near 70.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy early then becoming mostly clear, low around 50.

MONDAY – OCT 28 – Sunny, high in the upper 60s.

TUESDAY – OCT 29 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of light rain or drizzle, high in the mid 60s.

WEDNESDAY – OCT 30 – Mostly sunny, high near 70.

HALLOWEEN – OCT 31 – Mostly cloudy with rain likely, high in the low 60s.

FRIDAY – NOV 1 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the morning, high in the mid 60s.

SATURDAY – NOV 2 – Sunny and cooler, high in the mid 50s.

MARINE FORECAST: A gale warning is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for southeast winds gusting to 40 knots, seas 5-8 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Monday through Wednesday; possible small craft advisories for Thursday.
