Skies are partly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures range from around 50 in Clifton down to the low 30s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

A frontal system moving into our area and a strong low pressure will form just off the Long Island coast and intensify. Rain should move into our area by the middle of this afternoon and become very heavy at times continuing this evening and ending around midnight. Rainfall amounts of 2-3 inches are likely cause some flash flooding. It will become windy with southeast winds gusting to 30 mph.

The strong low will move into the Canadian Maritime region and a very strong westerly wind will develop in our area on Thursday, wind gusts of 40 mph are possible. We should see partial clearing through the day.

Dry weather is expected Friday through the weekend, Friday will be cool but it will be milder over the weekend.

Mild weather early next week with a chance of showers.

High pressure will be in control of our weather today providing mostly sunny skies with near seasonable temperatures, winds will be light.

A frontal system will move into the area on Wednesday with a strong coastal low that will intensify just southeast of our area. Heavy rain is likely with this system mainly falling between 2 p.m. and midnight where 1-2 inches of rainfall will be likely. Strong southeast wind will gust to 30 mph.

As the coastal storm moves up to northern New England a high pressure will be building into our area on Thursday, the pressure gradient between these system will produce strong northwest winds gusting to 35 to 40 mph. Skies will remain mostly cloudy.

Fair weather Friday through the weekend, temperatures will be a little below normal on Friday, near normal on Saturday and above normal on Sunday.

Mild weather to continue on Monday along with continued dry conditions.

A rather strong storm system will affect our area on Wednesday giving us rain possibly heavy at times mainly between 2-8 p.m., rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are likely.

The storm will intensify as it moves to the Canadian maritime region, quite strong winds will occur on Thursday with some gusts past 40 mph., skies will be partly sunny with chilly temperatures.

The coastal storm that became Subtropical Storm Melissa is finally moving further east and we should see clearing today along with much less wind and milder temperatures.

High pressure will build into our area on Sunday producing plenty of sunshine with seasonably mild temperatures. If we stay dry this weekend it will be the 8th straight weekend without any measurable rainfall.

Dry weather with seasonably mild temperatures Monday and Tuesday.

A frontal system will likely give our area rain on Wednesday followed by dry and cool weather for the end of next week.
