Skies across our area are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures range from the upper 30s in Clifton down to the mid 20s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

High pressure will move offshore and a southwesterly flow of mild air, temperatures will rise to around 60 with light winds, quite a comfortable late fall day.

A warm front will move north of the area Wednesday morning followed by a cold front at night, there will be more cloudiness with a chance of some light showers.

Thanksgiving Day will be cooler as a strong low pressure moves into the Canadian Maritime area, strong winds gusting to 35 mph during the day. Temperatures will be near 50 in the morning falling through the 40s in the afternoon, skies will be mostly sunny.

Dry and seasonably cold weather Friday and Saturday.

A storm system is expected to develop and move through our area on Sunday, very tricky forecast and will depend on the strength and track of the storm. At this point it appears that most of the precipitation will be in the form of rain but may start and end as snow especially further inland.

WEDNESDAY – NOV 27 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of light showers mainly from 9 a.m until 9 p.m., high in the mid 50s.

THANKSGIVING DAY – NOV 28 – Mostly sunny and windy, highs in the 50s in the morning falling through the 40s in the afternoon.

FRIDAY – NOV 29 – Sunny, high in the upper 40s.

SATURDAY – NOV 30 – Partly sunny, high in the low 40s, chance of snow after midnight.

SUNDAY – DEC 1 – Cloudy with a chance of rain and snow, high in the mid 40s.

MONDAY – DEC 2 – Partly sunny, high in the low 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: TODAY – South-southwest wind to 8 knots, seas 1 foot.

OUTLOOK: A gale watch has been posted effective between 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon through 6 p.m. on Thursday; small craft advisories expected for Friday; no advisories expected during the day on Saturday.
