Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and temperatures are milder than this time yesterday with readings ranging from the low 30s in Clifton down to the mid 20s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

High pressure will be moving off the coast today with a southwest flow of milder air, skies will be partly sunny with high temperatures about 10-15 degrees warmer than yesterday.

Mild again on Veterans Day ahead of strong cold front, skies will again be partly sunny.

The cold front with a developing low pressure along the front will cause rain from before dawn on Tuesday and may mix with snow before ending in the afternoon. No accumulation of snow is expected here but an inch may accumulate across higher elevations well to our northwest.

The air behind the front may even be colder than our past cold snap with early morning lows in the teens Wednesday morning and highs only in the low to mid 30s and with rather strong winds it will feel colder despite sunny skies.

Thursday will be cold with lighter winds.

Friday into the weekend will be mainly dry with slowly moderating temperatures.

Skies across the area are clear and temperatures are the coldest since last March with readings ranging from the low 20s in Clifton down to a chilly 12 degrees at Walpack, winds are light northerly.

Today will be a mostly sunny day and chilly but with lighter winds as high pressure builds over our area.

Milder Sunday and Monday and it should remain dry.

A frontal system will likely give our are rain mainly Tuesday morning. It now appears that the rain will end before much cooler air moves into our area so the only snow will be well northwest of our area.

Very cold and windy on Wednesday.

Dry weather at the end of next week with temperatures slowly moderating.

Skies across the area have becoming mostly clear and it is quite chilly with temperatures ranging from around 30 in Clifton down to the low 20s further inland, winds are gusty out of the north-northwest.

High pressure over the midwest will build into our area giving us a brisk and chilly day, highs will only reach the low 40s and with winds gusting to 30 mph will make it feel even colder. Skies will be mostly fair. With clear skies and light winds temperatures tonight will drop down well into the 20s giving our area a hard freeze and end our growing season.

Saturday will be chilly but with much lighter winds, skies will continue to be mostly fair.

Dry weather will persist Sunday and Monday with milder temperatures.

Another front will likely give us some rain Monday night into Tuesday. The rain may change to snow late in the day on Tuesday and depends how much moisture there is as colder air moves into the area.

Another surge of colder air Wednesday and Thursday along with dry conditions.

NOTE – On this day in 2012 a week after Hurricane Sandy we received 4.2 inches of snow.

A cold front will cross the area this evening preceded by seasonably mild air during the day, rain from the front will move into our area late this afternoon and may end with a couple of flurries around midnight. Further inland across northwest New Jersey and the Pocono may pick up a dusting of snow mainly over the higher elevations.

Much colder air with breezy conditions on Friday with temperatures well below normal, skies will be mostly sunny. Overnight lows Friday night will drop to well down into the 20s.

Dry weather is expected for the weekend, Saturday will be cold but Sunday will be milder.

Another stronger cold front will move into the area on Monday night with a chance of rain changing to snow on Tuesday as colder air moves into our area. Too early for details on possible snow accumulations in our area.

Even colder air will dominate our weather Wednesday into Thursday.

A cold front will cross the area Thursday night preceded by some rain late in the day possibly ending as snow over the higher elevations well inland.

Dry weather returns for Friday but it will be windy and much colder, highs will only be in the low 40s and temperatures Saturday morning will be well down into the 20s.

Dry weather is expected over the weekend, it will be chilly again on Saturday but milder on Sunday.

Another stronger frontal system may give us some snow early next week.
