Skies across the area are partly cloudy and temperatures are a little milder than this time yesterday with readings ranging from the low 40s in Clifton down to the low 30s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

Today will be a mild day but a weak cold front crossing our area may cause some light showers during the day but most of the rain will be east of our area.

High pressure will build into the area on Wednesday and it will be a mostly sunny day with cooler temperatures.

A stronger front will likely give us rain late Thursday possibly mixing with a little snow before ending around midnight, little or no accumulation is expected in our area but a dusting is possible further inland.

Much colder air will move into the area Friday into Saturday with fair weather, temperature Saturday morning should drop into the 20s with some teens further inland.

A little milder and sunny on Sunday.

Another strong cold front will give us a chance of rain Sunday night into Monday that may again change to a mixture of snow before ending late Monday night.

High pressure will build behind a weak cold front that will pass through our area this morning. We should have mostly sunny skies with cool temperatures, it will be a little more breezy than yesterday.

A much stronger cold front will move through the area on Thursday with a chance of rain or snow showers and then followed by much colder air Friday into next weekend.

CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR OCTOBER 2019.

The average temperature was 3.5 degrees above normal making this the 5th warmest October since I started records in 1973. The highest temperature was 92 degrees on the 2nd which was the hottest October temperature. The lowest temperature was 39 degrees on the 19th. Precipitation totalled 9.77 making this the second wettest October since 1973.

Skies have become mostly clear early on this Friday morning as the cold front that caused heavy rain and wind early this morning has moved to our east. Temperatures have fallen to the mid 40s in Clifton down to the upper 30s further inland. Winds are quite gusty out of the northwest.

High pressure will be building into our area as the cold front moves further offshore, strong gusty northwest winds to 45 mph are possible mainly this morning and a wind advisory is in effect. High temperatures will be in the 50s and drop to the 30s tonight with some frost likely.

Dry weather with light winds and seasonably cool temperatures is expected this weekend.

Dry weather should persist most of next week, temperatures will be slightly below normal on Monday, slightly above normal Tuesday and Wednesday and then fall to below normal readings late in the week.
