Good morning!

Light rain is falling over much of the area early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are mild with readings ranging from the upper 40s in Clifton down to around 40 further inland, winds are light northerly.

Low pressure will be moving through our area today, the steady rain will taper off to showers this morning and continue this afternoon, temperatures will be quite mild with readings in the 50s.

The low pressure will then move into eastern sections of Canada as high pressure builds from the northwest. We will have mostly sunny skies on Sunday with cooler temperatures, it will become windy with gusts up to 35 mph.

Another storm system will affect the area Monday afternoon through Tuesday. A wintery mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain Monday afternoon and evening will change to all rain by Tuesday morning. Possible accumulations of less than one inch of snow and sleet before the change over to rain.

Cold and dry weather is then expected Wednesday through Friday.

TODAY – DEC 14 – Rain tapering off to showers this morning, high in the mid 50s.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy with a chance of an evening shower, low in the upper 30s.

SUNDAY – DEC 15 – Mostly sunny, windy and cooler, high in the mid 40s.

MONDAY – DEC 16 – Partly sunny in the morning then cloudy with chance of snow, sleet and freezing rain in the afternoon and evening, high in the mid 30s, possible accumulations of less than an inch.

TUESDAY – DEC 17 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, mainly in the morning, high in the upper 40s.

WEDNESDAY – DEC 18 – Mostly sunny and colder, high in the mid 30s.

THURSDAY – DEC 19 – Sunny, high in the upper 30s.

FRIDAY – DEC 20 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 30s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. for southerly winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 6-9 feet.

OUTLOOK: A gale warning has been posted effective between 6 p.m. this evening until 7 p.m. Sunday evening; no advisories expected during the day on Monday; advisories expected Monday night through Wednesday.
