Some rain this morning followed by strong winds and colder temperatures this afternoon! Mostly sunny and seasonably cold Saturday and Sunday! Unsettled weather most of next week with again above normal temperatures!

Skies are cloudy early on this Friday morning and there is some rain in parts of the area, temperatures range from the upper 30s in Clifton down to the low 30s further inland, winds are from the northeast.

A very intense low pressure will move through the area today causing rain mainly this morning. The storm will produce very low barometric pressure with readings probably falling below 29.00″ which has not happened for a few years. Rain from this system will mainly end by noon, rainfall amounts will be less then what was forecasted a couple of days ago with less than 1/4 of an inch. The main story will be the strong gusty winds that may reach 45 mph or more this afternoon. Temperatures this morning will rise into the 50s before dropping off into the 30s by sunset. Record highs are possible for today as the record is only 52 degrees which is the lowest record high for the year. Clearing with diminishing winds and colder temperatures with lows by Saturday morning falling into the 20s.

Saturday will be a sunny but seasonably cold day with winds further diminishing.

Sunday should be partly sunny with highs a couple of degrees higher than Saturday.

Unsettled weather with again lots of clouds most of next week. There will be a chance of rain Monday and Tuesday possible beginning as snow early Monday. Wednesday should be dry but another chance of rain on Thursday, temperatures will again average above normal.

TODAY – FEB 7 -Wind advisory is in effect! Rain mainly this morning, mostly cloudy this afternoon, temperatures in the low 50s this morning falling to the upper 30s by sunset. Winds gusting to 45 mph.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy this evening then clear and colder with diminishing winds, low in the mid 20s.

SATURDAY – FEB 8 – Mostly sunny, high near 40.

SUNDAY – FEB 9 – Partly sunny, high in the low 40s.

MONDAY – FEB 10 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain or snow in the morning and a chance of rain in the afternoon, high near 50.

TUESDAY – FEB 11 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the mid 40s.

WEDNESDAY – FEB 12 – Partly sunny, high in the mid 40s.

THURSDAY – FEB 13 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the mid 40s.

MARINE FORECAST: A storm warning is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening for westerly winds gusting to 50 knots, seas 6-11 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Saturday and Sunday; possible small craft advisories on Monday; no advisories expected for Tuesday.
