Another mild and mostly sunny day today with an increase in clouds towards evening! Light rain likely on Tuesday with heavier rain Wednesday afternoon and night! Dry and cooler weather late this week into the weekend!

Good morning!

Skies are mainly clear early on this Monday morning and with calm winds there is once again a wide range in temperatures with readings in the upper 30s in Clifton down to a chilly 18 degrees at Walpack.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR FEBRUARY 24TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 42 AVERAGE LOW: 26

RECORD HIGH: 75 – 2017 RECORD LOW: -1 – 2015

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 57 LOW: 32 PRECIPITATION: NONE

High pressure off the coast will continue to give us a mild southerly flow of air, daytime temperatures will be similar to yesterday with highs in the upper 50s. We will have mostly sunny skies most of the day but we should see an increase in clouds toward evening.

Light rain is likely on Tuesday as a weak low pressure moves into the area, highs will be cooler than today due to cloudy skies but still above normal. Rainfall amounts will be less than 1/4″.

A stronger frontal system will likely give our area heavier rain Wednesday afternoon and evening with even a chance of a couple of thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts will be between 1/2 and 1 inch.

Sunshine returns on Thursday with slightly cooler temperatures.

Dry but colder weather can be expected Friday through the weekend.
