Becoming mostly sunny and windy after early morning rain! Dry and colder tomorrow through the weekend! Milder again next week with shower chances increasing!

Good morning!

We have cloudy skies with some light rain in the area early on this Thursday morning, temperatures are mild with readings ranging from the low 40s in Clifton down to the mid 30s further inland, winds are from the west.

CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR FEBRUARY 27TH:

AVERAGE HIGH: 43 AVERAGE LOW: 27

RECORD HIGH: 73 – 1997 RECORD LOW: 7 – 1994

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 46 LOW: 42 PRECIPITATION: .07″

The strong low pressure that gave us overnight rain is moving into New York State and the rain will end near or slightly after daybreak followed by a brisk westerly flow of drier air. Skies will become mostly sunny by late this morning and winds will gust to near 35 mph. High temperatures in the 40s will fall to the 30s by sunset.

High pressure will then dominate our weather Friday through the weekend with mostly sunny skies and colder than normal temperatures.

Again as has been the case this winter the cold will not last long as we will have milder tempertures Monday through most of this coming week. Shower chances will increase Monday night through at least Wednesday.
