CLIFTON’S ALMANAC FOR MARCH 2ND:

AVERAGE HIGH: 44 AVERAGE LOW: 28

RECORD HIGH: 68 – 1991 RECORD LOW: 10 – 1980

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 44 LOW: 22 PRECIPITATION: NONE

After having a few days of below normal temperatures, today will be quite mild with highs approaching 60 as high pressure moves offshore and we will have a southwest flow of warmer air. Skies will be mostly sunny this morning but we should see an increase in clouds this afternoon. There will be a chance of some light showers tonight.

Tuesday will be another mild day but a cold front will cross the area Tuesday night with showers likely in the afternoon and at night.

Fair and cooler weather but still with above normal temperatures Wednesday and Thursday.

Watching for a potential coastal storm on Friday into early Saturday, at the present time models indicate that the storm will form too far offshore to give our area to give us any significant precipitation but there will be a chance of rain during the day on Friday possibly changing to snow Friday night.

Clearing, cooler and windy on Saturday.

Mostly sunny and milder again on Sunday.

We just want one more snow this winter while were at home sipping ‘beverage’ by the fire…. but it’s looking rather grim for that to occur…

so – on to Spring flowers !!!

Yeah Curt the chances of a snowstorm are getting less and less. Unlike the last several Marches where we had colder than normal temperatures and significant snow this month looks to be quite mild. Get those plants ready early.
