Dry and cool weather much of this week with the only chance of showers Friday into the weekend!


Good morning!

Skies are cloudy early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from the mid 50s in Clifton down to around 50 further inland, winds are mainly calm.

High pressure to our north will give us a cool onshore flow of dry air today, skies will be mostly cloudy.

Cool and dry weather will continue tomorrow through Thursday. Winds will pick up, especially coastal areas, as Tropical Storm Arthur moves off the Carolina coast.

Somewhat milder Friday through the weekend but there is a chance of showers Friday into Saturday.

TODAY – MAY 18 – Mostly cloudy, high near 70.

TONIGHT – Mostly cloudy, low in the low 50s.

TUESDAY – MAY 19 – Mostly sunny and breezy, high in the mid 60s.

WEDNESDAY – MAY 20 – Sunny and breezy, high in the low to mid 60s.

THURSDAY – MAY 21 – Sunny, high in the mid to upper 60s.

FRIDAY – MAY 22 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the low 70s.

SATURDAY – MAY 23 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the upper 70s.

SUNDAY – MAY 24 – Mostly sunny, high in the low 70s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory will be in effect from 10 a.m. this morning until 6 p.m. this evening for northeast winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 4-7 feet.

OUTLOOK – A gale warning will be in effect from 6 p.m. this evening until midnight Tuesday night; small craft advisories expected on Wednesday; advisories still possible Thursday and Friday for continued higher seas.
