Mostly cloudy today and on Wednesday with showers and thunderstorms likely mainly in the afternoon and evening! Mainly dry and seasonably warm weather for the holiday weekend!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures range from the mid 60s in Clifton down to the mid 50s further inland, winds are light northerly.

An upper level low over our area will likely produce showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and evening hours both today and on Wednesday, some of the storms may be accompanied by gusty winds and small hail. With more clouds, temperatures will be slightly lower than the last couple of days and the humidity will be moderate with dew points mainly in the low-mid 60s.

High pressure will then build into the area on Thursday providing us with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures.

The holiday weekend looks to be mainly dry with near seasonable temperatures, however there will be a low chance of showers on Friday as a back door cold front moves through. On Independence Day there will be another chance of an afternoon and evening shower or thunderstorm.

Looking ahead it is likely next week will be hot with most high temperatures in the 90s each day.

FRIDAY – JULY 3 – Mostly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high near 90.

INDEPENDENCE DAY – JULY 4 – Partly sunny with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower and thunderstorms, high in the low 80s.

SUNDAY – JULY 5 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 80s.

MONDAY – JULY 6 – Mostly sunny, high near 90.
