Excessive heat and humidity again today! Less hot and humid on Tuesday! More humid and quite warm with showers and thunderstorms likely Wednesday and Thursday! Some relief Friday into the weekend!

Skies across the area are mostly cloudy early on this Monday morning and it is quite sultry with temperatures ranging from near 80 in Clifton down to the low 70s further inland. Humidity is also quite high with dew points in the mid 70s. Winds are mainly calm or light southwesterly.

Another very hot and humid day today as a southwesterly flow dominates. A weak cold front will cross the area this evening with only a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Daytime highs will once again be well up into the 90s and with dew points in the 70s will make it feel near 104, a heat advisory continues in effect.

Somewhat less hot and humid on Tuesday as weak high pressure moves into our area, highs will still be in the low 90s but the dew points will drop into the more comfortable 60s.

Quite warm to hot weather and becoming more humid again Wednesday into Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will be likely especially Wednesday afternoon and evening, some of the storms may be strong.

A weak cold front will cross the area Thursday night followed by somewhat cooler and drier air Friday through the weekend.

THURSDAY – JULY 23 – Partly sunny and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 90s.

FRIDAY – JULY 24 – Sunny and less humid, high in the upper 80s.

SATURDAY – JULY 25 – Sunny, high in the upper 80s.

SUNDAY – JULY 26 – Mostly sunny, high in the upper 80s.
